Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Sonographer, you will utilize advanced sonographic equipment to record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses, including unborn fetuses, providing critical visual data for diagnosis and prenatal care. Every day you will directly interact with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and preparing them for scans. You will meticulously operate sonographic equipment, adjusting settings and patient positions to ensure clear, diagnostic images. You will monitor and care for patients to ensure their safety and comfort, select and examine images for pathologies, and present preliminary findings to Physicians. To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent patient service and communication skills, sharp eyesight, and meticulous attention to detail. You will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, sound judgment, and advanced decision‑making skills to effectively capture and interpret sonographic data, ensuring optimal diagnostic support. Assures that good safety practices are utilized for the protection of patients, staff and self Educates patient, family and others, as appropriate, in regard to procedures the patient may be having. Provides the necessary documentation as appropriate Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work and assures that rooms are stocked with the necessary supplies and accessories Displays competency operating teleradiology system Performs examinations according to workload and as directed by departmental lead or charge person Displays competency operating equipment and performing procedures in the department, in the operating room, and on a mobile basis Job Requirements Required Certificate Degree in Ultrasound Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CT CPRBLS) Where You'll Work Hello humankindness ( Imagine a workplace where your passion for healing meets a commitment to community.
