Responsibilities Registered nurses (RNs) perform basic duties that include: Treating patients, educating patients and family members about mental and medical conditions, and providing advice and emotional support. Running therapeutic groups, psychiatric crisis intervention, seclusion and restraint of patients as needed. Recording patient medical histories and symptoms, assisting with diagnostic tests and analyzing results, operating medical machinery, administering treatments and medications, and helping with patient follow‑up and rehabilitation. Teaching patients and their families how to manage illness or injury, diet and exercise programs, and self‑administration of medication and physical therapy. Qualifications Current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse. BLS certification upon hire and maintained current. Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards. Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team processes, behavioral health programming, and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units. Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care. Completion of Behavioral Violence Prevention training within 6 months of hire and current annually. Pay Transparency The compensation estimate for this role, which includes wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, ranges from $40.41 to $69.32 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, considering factors such as skillset, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
