Sanitation LeadSemo Milling, LLC has an excellent opportunity for a Sanitation Lead in Scott City, MO!Position PurposeReporting to the Environmental and Health Safety Manager, this position is responsible for sanitation throughout the facility.Position Responsibilities and DutiesFacility Responsibilities• Execute sanitation activities throughout the plant facility• Maintain plant sanitation standards at all times• Serve as back-up custodian• Monitor key indicators for quality, productivity, and utilization• Utilize the IMS and SPC where applicable• Responsible for quality of work within area• Maintain work environment in a clean and orderly fashion• Operate forklift, skidsteer loader, and aerial lifts• Conduct winter snow removal & salting operations of sidewalk walkways, parking lots, and other areas as assigned, as needed.• Perform paint & preservation work as needed.• Perform pressure washing of facility & equipment• Assist in identifying and correcting any pest control problemsQuality, Safety and Sanitation• Follow all Personnel Safety policies/procedures, including the use of proper PPE, as well as ensure the safe use of required tools and equipment• Follow all Food Safety, Quality Assurance, GMP's, Sanitation and general plant policies/procedures• Inspect products for overall appearance according to customer and QA/Food Safety requirements and communicate with supervisor when non-conforming products are present• Communicate all safety or environmental issues to supervisors/managers• At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties• Complete necessary paperwork for documenting process parameters and recordkeeping requirementsGeneral Leadership• Ensure all regulatory compliance.• Follow established Human Resources procedures.• Ensure proper training and adherence to area SOP's.• Assist with evaluating the performance of subordinates.• Create a team working environment, inspire, motivate, and provide input.• Develop key indicators to measure quality and productivity.• Oversee day-to-day sanitation duties.• Delegate affectively.• Address performance of staff.Open Communications to be a team player and do other tasks as necessary.Essential SkillsThis position actively partners with daily operations and is engaged in supporting policies and procedures in accordance with the company Vision, Values, and Strategic Objectives.Education Level: High School Diploma or GEDRelated Experience: Must have a valid drivers license, and capable of being covered by employer insurance policySuperior sanitation skillsStrong attention to detailTeam orientedEquipment operational experience of forklifts, skid-steerPreferred Experience: Preferred to have previous production experiencePreferred to have previous experience in human or animal food manufacturingPhysical and Mental RequirementsBe able to work independently, or at part of a team. Be able to work at heights. This position requires physical and mental alertness, attentiveness and stamina for the length of an entire 8-12 hour work shift each day. Occasional to frequent lifting of 50+ pounds, frequent changing from a seated to standing position and occasional to frequent stair climbing are all physical demands of this position.
