Collision Center Estimator

Schumacher Automotive Group in West Palm Beach is seeking a Collision Center Estimator responsible for appraising vehicle damage to determine cost of repairs for insurance claim settlements while delivering the best experience to our customers. Essential Job Responsibilities Examines damaged vehicles to determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical or interior damage. Estimates cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item. Reviews repair cost estimates with body shop technician. Determines feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and doors. Evaluates practicality of repair as opposed to payment of vehicle market value before accident with customer and insurance carrier. Determines salvage value on total vehicle loss. Prepares insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations. Estimates cost of repainting, converting to special purposes, or customizing undamaged vehicles. Keeps customer up to date and informed during repair process. Experience with using CCC One estimating systems. Who are we looking for? Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an estimator. 3+ years' knowledge of collision repair processes. I Car certification strongly preferred. A professional with the ability to work independently, multitask and manage time efficiently. Proficient computer skills and attention to detail. Excellent communicator to support relationships with customers and co-workers. Must be available to work Weekdays and some Saturdays. Outgoing and service-oriented attitude. Valid FL driver's license with a clean driving history. Must submit to and pass a background and drug screen. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an estimator. CCC One estimating systems strongly preferred. I Car certification strongly preferred. Must have reliable transportation within the West Palm Beach area. Positive attitude. Strong work ethic. A valid driver's license.
