Senior ML Engineer, Computer Vision

Salary: $160,000 - 220,000 per year Requirements:

• Strong Python skills and experience with the scientific computing stack, including NumPy, SciPy, OpenCV, scikit-image, and scikit-learn
• Hands-on deep learning experience for computer vision using TensorFlow/Keras and/or PyTorch
• Practical experience with semantic segmentation and/or object detection on images, such as U-Net-style or YOLO-style approaches
• Solid machine learning engineering foundations, including reproducible training, evaluation metrics, regression testing, and model quality analysis
• A disciplined approach to data handling, with de-identification, consent, and provenance treated as essential requirements
• Experience with medical or scientific imaging, such as DICOM, physical calibration, and converting pixels into real-world measurements
• Domain knowledge in sports science, musculoskeletal health, or physiology
• Experience deploying models to constrained runtimes, such as CoreML for iOS or ONNX
• Familiarity with labeling or annotation platforms and label round-trip workflows
• Experience with image stitching or geometric processing
• MLOps experience, including training reproducibility, model registries, GPU scheduling, or containerized inference
• Experience with transformer-based or foundation-model segmentation methods, such as SAM or medical variants
• Awareness of clinical software constraints, including data handling and regulatory pathways, is a plus

• Build the offline training pipeline for the model factory, including moving data to and from the labeling platform, preprocessing, training, evaluating, and packaging new metrics models
• Develop the online analysis services that take ultrasound images or clips and produce segmentation masks, geometry, and derived athlete metrics on the edge and in the cloud
• Create robust image and video processing pipelines for DICOM and raw imagery, including physical calibration so measurements are produced in real-world units
• Train and refine segmentation models for musculoskeletal anatomy in ultrasound, then derive athlete metrics from the resulting geometry
• Develop on-device navigation models that recognize views, score image quality, and generate initial segmentation to guide capture, then package them for deployment in the capture app
• Own the annotation loop with the clinical team by pushing de-identified images for labeling, pulling labels back, and aligning them to the canonical annotation schema
• Work closely with the clinical team to define, refine, and maintain what gets labeled, how it is labeled, and the required quality standard
• Maintain model versioning and provenance so every metric can be traced back to the model that produced it
• Build and maintain the evaluation and regression harness used to qualify models before release
• Work with de-identified data only, respect consent gating, and keep athlete-identifying information out of the systems you touch
