About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required. Must have experience with patient ratios of 1:4. License: Valid state license required at the time of submission. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS required. CPI and TNCC preferred. Must-Have: EPIC experience is required. Complete 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule. Ability to float as needed within scope. References from authority figures dated within the last year are required. Flu vaccine required from October 31 to March 31, with medical/religious exemptions only. COVID-19 vaccine is required, with medical/religious exemptions only. Description: The position requires 3 twelve-hour shifts per week from 12:00 to 00:00. You may be asked to float to sister locations as needed. Candidates must be available for on-call, holiday, hurricane, and float requirements. Documentation will be performed using an electronic system. The emergency department handles a wide variety of patient diagnoses. Daily census averages 142 visits. Candidates must have experience managing critical situations like drug overdoses, trauma cases, and acute psychosis. You will work with interdisciplinary support from various departments. This position is ideal for those seeking to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Candidates should be familiar with special equipment used in emergencies. You will be expected to perform procedures such as intubation, chest tube management, and wound care. Teamwork and effective communication skills are essential for success in this role.
