# Mechanical Cooling TechnicianApply**Job#: 3036499****Job Description:**Mechanical Cooling Technician**Location:** Columbiana, Alabama (Onsite)Role OverviewThis role supports a modular containerized data center facility. The technician will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the mechanical cooling plant serving a high-density compute environment. The position focuses on diagnosing, maintaining, and optimizing chiller systems, serving as the subject matter expert for cooling infrastructure and playing a key role in system uptime.Key Responsibilities* Diagnose and troubleshoot chiller systems.* Maintain closed-loop chilled water distribution systems with buffer tanks.* Operate and maintain air-cooled screw chillers and Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs).* Work with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and other control systems.* Support system optimization and maintenance planning.Required Qualifications**Experience:** A minimum of 5 years of hands-on mechanical cooling experience is required, obtained in a commercial, industrial, or critical facility environment.Preferred Qualifications* Seven or more years of relevant experience.* Demonstrated experience managing or troubleshooting cooling plant failures independently.* Experience with system programming adjustments. *Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
