Travel ICU Registered Nurse - $3,035 per week (Hiring Immediately)

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Alexandria, Louisiana. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/31/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Critical Care Nurse, ICU Located in an intensive care unit, this position involves providing specialized nursing care to patients experiencing critical and complex health conditions including cardiac and respiratory cases. The role emphasizes autonomous practice and comprehensive patient care, supporting the healthcare team in delivering high-quality treatment in a fast-paced environment. Job Details Position Description: Provide nursing care for patients with conditions such as DKA, Acute Respiratory Failure, MIs, CABGs, Ventilators, and post-op cardiovascular surgeries. The ICU setting includes cardiac and medical patient care, with a patient nurse ratio of 2:1 for ICU patients and 4:1 for IMCU patients. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing, current RN License in state of employment or compact, BLS certification via AHA, ACLS certification via AHA, 2 years of experience in ICU or similar clinical setting. Schedule: Nights shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, 48 hours per week guaranteed. Additional Information: Must have experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, Impellas, Post-op Cardiovascular surgeries, and CRRT. No floating required. Must be able to start as soon as possible. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
