Sr Cloud Infrastructure Architect

Salary: $130,500 - 195,700 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• We need at least 5 years of experience designing and delivering infrastructure or cloud solutions across areas such as cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code, cloud networking and connectivity, identity and access management, platform engineering, DevOps/CI-CD automation, cloud-hosted virtual desktops, enterprise architecture, network architecture, or server architecture.
• We require strong hands-on knowledge of enterprise cloud platforms, with Azure required and AWS preferred, along with solid cloud architecture fundamentals covering networking, identity, and platform services.
• We need deep expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop, including host pools, FSLogix, image management, autoscaling, networking, identity integration, and platform design.
• We require experience providing architectural oversight and governance for managed service providers, including reviewing solution designs, operational standards, service delivery practices, and technology roadmaps.
• Preferred qualifications include a masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related area, or equivalent experience.
• Preferred qualifications include at least two relevant industry certifications, such as Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional, or Terraform/DevOps-related certifications.
• Preferred qualifications include 7 years of experience designing and implementing infrastructure or cloud solutions in Azure across the disciplines listed above.
• Preferred qualifications include exposure to a wide range of technical environments, configurations, technologies, and processing landscapes.

• We will define, govern, and advance enterprise cloud platforms and core services, including networking, identity, and Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform and version-controlled CI/CD pipelines.
• We will build and maintain cloud architecture roadmaps, standards, and governance frameworks that modernize legacy infrastructure into automated, cloud-native environments.
• We will architect and oversee platform capabilities such as landing zones, subscription and account structures, identity and access management, DNS, and hybrid connectivity.
• We will collaborate with peer architects and technology leaders to align enterprise architecture domains and shared platform capabilities.
• We will design and govern cloud networking patterns across multiple regions, including hub-and-spoke topologies, transit networks, routing strategies, VPN connectivity, and firewall integration.
• We will work with engineering and application teams to review cloud solution designs and ensure they align with enterprise standards, scalability needs, and security policies.
• We will partner with third-party vendors and our Managed Services team to shape and execute technology-enabled roadmaps.
• We will assess and recommend cloud technologies and platform capabilities based on business needs, scale requirements, and cost implications.
• We will drive operational excellence through monitoring, alerting, cost optimization, and platform lifecycle management.
• We will define disaster recovery and resiliency approaches, including multi-region patterns and high-availability architectures.
• We will establish cloud financial management practices, including capacity planning, cost allocation, chargeback/showback models, reserved instance strategies, and consumption optimization.
• We will document cloud architecture designs, standards, and processes to support maintainability and knowledge transfer.
• We will partner with Security Architecture and Engineering to create secure-by-design cloud patterns covering segmentation, privileged access management, encryption, vulnerability management, and regulatory compliance.
