George's Polish Deli is a busy, friendly neighborhood deli focused on fresh, delicious sandwiches and fast, courteous service. Located in Seattle's First Hill neighborhood, we've been open since 1979.
We're hiring a motivated and dependable front-of-house, deli counter cashier to join George's Deli team and help us grow. We're looking for someone experienced in food service, available 30 hours per week, who works well under pressure ("in the weeds" might look like: lunch order rush + pickups + holiday shopping)
Available Shifts : Monday - Friday, 9am - 4:30pm, Saturday- Sunday till 3:30pm
Pay : $21 to $24 per hour, depending on experience + tips (approx. $2-6+ per hour)

Responsibilities
- Assist with deli case orders, POS register (Square), online order expo and restock products, as needed.
- Customer service and satisfaction, greet customers and make recommendations
- Manage pickup/delivery order hand-off
- Prep and maintain product quality standards (deli case, hot foods, menu orders, inventory, etc.)
- Maintain clean and organized workstations
- Ensure food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed
- Able to operate kitchen equipment, e.g. deli slicer, scale
- Merchandise and maintain deli case
- Restock and/or reset market shelves (seasonal/ holidays)
- Answer phone for orders and general inquiries
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Communicate and coordinate with other staff
Requirements
- Customer service experience in food / deli / market or similar role preferred
- Ability to work mornings, some evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and a passion for quality food and customer service
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
