Overnight CDL B Delivery Driver

Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for an overnight CDL B delivery driver position at a company in Meriden, CT. This is a direct-hire opportunity. The driver will make deliveries to Philadelphia and Washington D.C. overnight. The schedule is to be determined. The salary is $27 an hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate company vehicles safely to deliver goods to various locations
• Load, unload and secure items in the vehicle for safe transit
• Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle
• Communicate with dispatch to ensure that timely delivery schedules are met
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of the vehicle
• Ensure accurate delivery documentation, including obtaining customer signatures upon delivery
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Valid CDL B license with a clean driving record
• Valid DOT medical card
• Strong experience hauling cargo
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift to 50 pounds regularly
• Able to work flexible schedule, holidays and overtime
• Able to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to pass pre-employment screenings and random drug test while employed
