We’ll train you — personality and effort matter most.Why You’ll Love Working HereA high-energy, supportive teamReal experience in the fitness and wellness industryThe chance to make a daily impact on members’ livesClear pathways into trainer, club management or leadership, or management rolesA fun, fast-paced environment where your personality shinesBenefits:Growth Opportunities over 90% of our management team started as an entry level team member!PTO for all employeesEmployee Assistance ProgramFree employee Black Card MembershipLevel 1 Fitness Ambassador: Uncertified, actively working towards CertificationLevel 2 Certified Fitness Ambassador: Certified with NCSF or other Nationally Accredited CertificationEssential Job Functions:Fitness Floor EngagementFacilitates View email address on click.appcast.io fitness programs and assists members with fitness programs through the Planet Fitness App.Provide orientation and guidance to new members on basic workout routines and equipment use.Demonstrate basic knowledge of cardio, strength, and functional training equipment (training provided).Assist members with proper equipment use and safe techniques.Support member retention by building rapport and encouraging positive workout experiences.Member Experience & Customer ServiceGreet all members with enthusiasm, professionalism, and courtesy.Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment aligned with the club’s 'Judgement Free Zone' philosophy.Engage with members on the fitness floor to provide encouragement and support.Promote club programs, personal training services, and special events.Assist with member check-ins, club tours, info calls, account inquiries, and membership updates.Cleanliness & SafetyPerform routine cleaning and sanitization of equipment, locker rooms, and high-touch areas.Conduct light maintenance checks (changing pads, screws/nuts/bolts, lubing rods, etc.) and promptly report any issues.Maintain a safe, organized, and visually appealing club environment.Job Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent required.Must be 18 years of age or older.Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or fitness preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently.Passion for fitness and helping others; willingness to learn basic training techniques (certification not required but encouraged).Must complete fitness training certification (NCSF) and manufacturer specific equipment training within 90 days of hire.Must be able to perform and demonstrate a wide range of exercises, including strength, cardio, and flexibility movements.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (often 4–8 hours per shift) while engaging with members on the fitness floor.Capability to lift, move, and safely adjust fitness equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. #J-18808-Ljbffr Planet Fitness
