Job Title

RN - Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Nights (5:00 PM – 5:00 AM) | Onsite | 36 hours per week | Weekend rotation required (every 3rd weekend)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across Emergency Room and Medical-Surgical units within a Critical Access facility
• Manage inpatient census and divide patient load collaboratively among nursing staff each shift
• Assess, triage, and care for emergency room patients; share ER patient responsibilities with the nursing team as needed
• Work alongside LPNs and CNAs, adapting to varying staffing configurations per shift
• Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care
• Participate in on-call crisis support structure and respond to staffing needs as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Documented experience in both Emergency Room and Medical-Surgical nursing (must be reflected in work history at time of submission)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through AHA
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
• All required certifications must be current at time of submission or a scheduled class receipt must be provided

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification through AHA
• Experience working in a Critical Access or small-volume inpatient facility
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
