Requirements Bachelor's Degree, minimum requirement Current and Valid Ohio Teaching License Preferred Classroom Teaching Experience Preferred RESPONSIBLE TO: Junior High / High School Principal General District Goals Maintain and expand Tri-Village's educational image Develop pathways to utilize data Integrate literacy skills and literacy techniques in all subject areas at all grade levels Maintain long-term financial stability of the district Essential Job Functions Set high expectations for students to work for the entire period on the coursework required for their class schedule. Hold students accountable for appropriate behavior Create a physical environment conducive to learning Establish a culture of respect, enthusiasm and rapport with students and faculty. Communicate with teaching staff, guidance and building administrator regarding student progress or lack there of. Manage student transitions between classes Troubleshoot student access issues (including connectivity, usernames/passwords and multimedia) Availability to attend training sessions for the betterment of the school district if needed. Additional or different functions may be assigned as required. Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required Skills to motivate students, communicate with individuals from varied educational and cultural backgrounds, direct support personnel, evaluate performance. Knowledge of age appropriate teaching methods, state curriculum framework, education code, appropriate instructional subjects. Abilities to stand and walk for prolonged periods, perform a variety of specialized tasks; maintain records; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, parents, other school personnel; meet schedules and deadlines. Significant physical abilities include lifting/carrying, reaching/handling, talking/hearing, near/far visual acuity/depth perception/color vision/field of vision.
