The Senior Director of Routine Care provides leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for all outpatient behavioral health services across View Point Health's continuum of care. Outpatient services represents an entry point to timely access to behavioral health care which includes behavioral health triage and assessment, individual, group and family therapy, psychiatry, nursing, care coordination, and crisis-related outpatient services.


This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, integrated, collaborative, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented care in alignment with Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) framework, Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) regulations, and Medicaid requirements and accreditation standards. This role requires building partnerships with external providers and community organizations, monitoring service quality and outcomes through data tracking, and ensuring programs meet established performance standards.

Grounded in healthcare administration, the Senior Director of Routine Care blends clinical excellence with strong operational leadership, financial management, regulatory compliance, and data-driven performance oversight to deliver sustainable, accessible, and outcomes-focused services across multiple counties.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, and leadership to Outpatient Clinic Directors
  • Lead program alignment across county sites, ensuring consistent workflows, documentation, and service delivery standards
  • Monitor operational and staffing functions, including staff coverage, productivity, caseloads, scheduling, no-show rates, and service utilization, performance management, and workforce planning, while ensuring adequate staffing levels and clinical supervision to support intake, triage, and ongoing treatment services
  • Provide clinical oversight and consultation, promoting evidence-based practices and integrated care models
  • Monitor and promote advancement of program performance using KPIs, service utilization, and outcome data (including Open Access and Just-in-Time scheduling models)
  • Develop and implement innovative service models, including integrated care, telehealth, and population health strategies
  • Oversee clinical documentation practices and efficient use of the electronic health record
  • Enhance care coordination across behavioral health, substance use services, primary care, and community partners
  • Serve as liaison with DBHDD regional offices, state leadership, and local stakeholders to align services with community needs
  • Support program leaders in achieving performance targets and improving service delivery outcomes
  • Monitor key performance indicators, including service utilization, compliance metrics, and outcomes.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives, including audits, documentation compliance, and data-driven decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards (e.g., DBHDD, DCH, CARF)
Additional Functions include:
  • Ensure equitable access and culturally responsive care for diverse populations
  • Participate in and support external audits, investigations, and corrective action plans (CAPs)
  • Conduct chart reviews, internal audits, and program evaluations
  • Serve on Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and other agency committees
  • Collaborate with VPH leadership for strategic planning activities
  • Develop, review, and revise policies and standard operating procedures as needed
  • Participates in external meetings, agency committees, initiatives and/or special projects and tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's or doctoral degree in behavioral health or healthcare discipline.
  • Independent licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist, APRN, or equivalent).
  • 5-7+ years of progressive clinical leadership experience, preferably in large behavioral health or integrated care settings.
  • Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based practices, crisis systems, and multidisciplinary team leadership, and complex service delivery systems.
  • Strong skills in organizational management and regulatory compliance.
Note : An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job, or intern experience, training, or certification that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year over year.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a Community Service Board, large multi-site behavioral health systems and/or CCBHC.
  • Experience with quality improvement frameworks and population health models.
  • Familiarity with value-based care, integrated care, and high acuity service environments.
  • Experience using data analytics to inform decision-making and track trends.
Requirements/Competencies:
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
  • Requires long periods of sitting/standing.
  • Must have valid Georgia driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.
  • Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting)
  • Any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Ability to travel across program sites and respond to on-call or urgent clinical situations as needed
