Job Summary and Responsibilities Registered Nurse - Kidney Dialysis Unit Dickinson - St. Joseph's Hospital As our Registered Nurse for the Kidney Dialysis Unit, you will help patients with renal conditions receive high-quality, compassionate care so they can achieve optimal health outcomes. Every day you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care for patients receiving dialysis treatments. You will be expected to supervise care according to policies, procedures, and the State Nurse Practice Act. To be successful in this role, you must be skilled in delivering comprehensive patient care while adhering to established standards. Responsibilities Adhere to our mission, values, and Journey Beyond Excellence expectations to foster a compassionate, healing environment, providing physiological, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and visitors. Assure quality of care by adhering to policies, philosophies, and standards of care regulated by the ND State Board of Nursing, the ND Nurse Practice Act, and other governing agency regulations. Utilize the nursing process, including planning, assessment, intervention, and evaluation, to develop and implement a comprehensive plan of care focused on optimal patient outcomes. Meet the educational needs of patients, families, and co-workers utilizing principles and current professional literature to achieve positive learning outcomes. Delegate nursing care with respect based on knowledge of staff qualifications, competencies, and individual patient care needs. Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration, storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
