Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric OR RN for a 12-week travel assignment at a Level 1 trauma facility, requiring at least 1 year of OR experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Pediatric surgical unit (Peds Surgery) within a large hospital operating room environment
• Level 1 trauma facility with 14 ORs and 2 endoscopy procedure rooms
• Pediatric surgical patient population
• Day shift schedule: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, 5x8-hour shifts
• On-call responsibilities required
• 12-week assignment

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license with TX as state of practice required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross accepted)
• ACLS or PALS certification required within 6 months of start (AHA accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• 1+ year of OR RN experience required
• Pediatric OR experience preferred
• Valid driver's license required
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating and scrub nurse duties, including maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments, and assisting surgeons
• Documents required for consideration include: skills checklist, 2 professional references, copies of certifications, license verification/Nursys, and a copy of driver's license
• Nursys verification must be completed within 30 days prior to assignment start
• Local candidates are accepted, though a radius rule applies and may affect the pay rate depending on distance from the facility
• COVID vaccination is not required
