TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Salisbury, North Carolina, 28144!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a telemetry unit with similar ratios and acuity. License: Active nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - IV start and telemetry experience - Experience with pre and post procedure cardiac patients - Experience managing cardiac drips Description: This is a challenging and busy unit. The primary focus is on cardiac and stroke care. We provide stable pre and post care for pacemaker implantation and cardiac catheterization. Nurses will manage multiple drips, including Cardizem, Dopamine, and Amiodarone. Patient ratios will fluctuate but must be comfortable with assignments of 5-6 patients. Travelers will be required to float within the facility as needed. Each nurse may encounter frequent turnovers, with typically 78 to 90 patients admitted weekly. Experience with high acuity telemetry is essential. Availability for every other weekend and scheduled Mondays and Fridays is required. Special procedures include the use of optiflow and BiPAP during COVID surges. Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting in this specialty. Strong time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are crucial. The unit performs all skills listed as hard stops.
