Position Summary: Boyd & Jenerette is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our team. Location & Commitments: Practice Area / Department: Litigation Status: Full-Time / Non-Exempt Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week. Work Location: Hybrid / In-Office options available for this position. Must reside in the state of Georgia or Florida. Responsibilities: Draft legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and contracts. Schedule and organize client meetings, hearings, and attorney conferences. Coordinate with court reporters, expert witnesses, and other services. Prepare expense reports and check requests. Manage attorneys' calendars and Outlook email. Assist with case screening, investigation, and e-filing pleadings. Prepare discovery documents and assist with pretrial prep. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements & Competencies: At least 2 years of experience in a similar role (insurance defense preferred). Familiarity with Georgia court procedures and filing requirements preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Basic knowledge of court and administrative proceedings. Familiarity with lawsuit summaries, litigation files, and legal record maintenance. Proficiency in administrative tasks.
