Maintenance Technician IIWe Welcome You to Join Our Team!Cascade Dafo is currently hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician II to complement our Maintenance Team.Expected starting wage: $28.13 - $32.22 per hour Work shift: Monday-Friday, day shift with occasional need to work nights and/or weekends.The Maintenance Technician II performs a variety of maintenance and repair tasks on facility infrastructure, machinery, and production equipment. This position is responsible for troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and operational issues, conducting preventative maintenance activities, and ensuring equipment reliability to minimize downtime and support business operations. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work independently while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.Our Maintenance Technician II's responsibilities include:Performing routine inspections and maintenance on equipment and building to identify and repair unsafe or malfunctioning conditionsFollowing a preventative maintenance plan on equipment and building to ensure continuous operations with little downtimeMonitoring, ordering, and stocking janitorial suppliesAssembling benches and/or fixtures for productionExecuting precision hardening, tempering, and annealing of custom parts for manufacturingRebuilding electrical motorsCleaning and maintaining HVAC systems, including troubleshooting, repairs, and replacement as necessaryExecuting carpentry, installations, facility maintenance, beautification, and plumbing repairs to facilityProviding operational support to senior technicians during advanced troubleshooting and repair tasksTroubleshooting, repairing, and performing maintenance on forklift, straddle truck, and wave liftReading and understanding electrical schematics, troubleshooting electrical problemsTroubleshooting pneumatic valves and controls; designing, building, and installing air delivery and controls for new equipment; rebuilding air tools and cylindersTroubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining hydraulics pumps, cylinders, valves, and hosesDesigning and building metal fixtures and benches; cutting, welding, and fabricating as necessaryAs with all roles at Cascade Dafo, the Maintenance Technicians support our business, culture, and customer needs.We find that successful applicants have these skills and abilities:Thorough knowledge of general plumbing, electrical and HVAC repairUnderstanding of and commitment to lockout/tagout proceduresStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to read blueprints, building plans, and repair manualsAbility to report to and take direction from Facilities Manager as well as work independently when neededCapable of maintaining a positive working relationship with all co-workers and leadershipMust be dedicated to get all assigned projects completed; big or smallAbility to comply with company policies and OSHA rules while caring out maintenance functionsMust be able to communicate in English, written and verbalPlease be sure you meet these education, experience, and physical requirements before applying:High school diploma or GEDMinimum 3-5 years' experience in maintenance or related fieldElectrical and welding experienceAble to be forklift certifiedAbility to work at heights and from laddersMust be physically able to perform repairs as neededAbility to regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, and/or crawlMust be able to work indoors in different temperatures and outdoors in all types of weatherRegularly lift and or move up to 50 poundsAlthough not required, we would be thrilled to see applicants who have:Water Jet maintenance certification or the willingness and ability to become certifiedCertification in related vocational trainingHere's a little bit about us:Cascade Dafo is a manufacturing company that specializes in making ankle foot orthosis (AFO's) for children with mobility challenges.
