Role Description This full-time, on-site Medical Laboratory Technologist role is based in the Cape Coral Metropolitan Area. The Medical Laboratory Technologist will perform routine and specialized laboratory tests, operate and maintain laboratory instruments, and ensure accurate, timely processing of specimens. Daily activities include preparing samples, following established protocols, documenting results in laboratory information systems, and collaborating with clinicians to support diagnostic and treatment decisions. The role also involves participating in quality control procedures, maintaining safety and infection-control standards, and troubleshooting technical issues to uphold high testing reliability. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in Medical Technology and Laboratory Skills, including specimen handling and test performance. Experience in Laboratory Medicine with the ability to interpret and validate clinical test results. Knowledge of Quality Control practices to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with laboratory standards. Foundational understanding of Medicine as it relates to diagnostic testing and patient care. Relevant diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Technology, or a closely related field. Certification or eligibility for certification from a recognized medical laboratory professional body is an advantage. Familiarity with laboratory information systems, data entry, and basic computer applications. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to follow standardized procedures and safety protocols. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
