- Provides safe, nurturing care and education
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities focusing on social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Maintain constant visual and auditory supervision of children, adhering to adult-child ratios and safety protocols.
- Observe, document, and evaluate children’s developmental progress, and update individualized plans as needed.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding children’s development, daily habits, and concerns.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized classroom, including sanitizing toys and managing cleaning schedules.
- Lead and support classroom Teacher Assistants, substitutes, and volunteers.
- Maryland 90-Hour Certification (45 hours of Curriculum + 45 hours of Child Development) or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
- Previous experience working with young children is preferred
- Successful completion of background checks and required medical examinations (including TB testing)
- Strong communication skills, adaptability
