Overview
Physical Therapist – General in Charlotte, North Carolina. This travel assignment starts 08/17/2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,653 to $2,660 per week, with guaranteed 40 hours per week on 8-hour shifts. The assignment is in an inpatient acute care/rehabilitation setting and is a travel - temporary position.

Responsibilities
- Perform clinical assessments to identify patient needs and appropriateness for physical therapy.
- Document, plan, implement, and periodically revise a Plan of Care (POC); prepare progress notes and related clinical documentation; review orders; coordinate with physicians as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Plan and provide treatment for neuromuscular, neurological, and orthopedic disorders based on medical referrals; instruct patients and families in transfer techniques and safe use of mobility aids and equipment; order or adapt rehabilitative equipment to meet home and patient needs.
- Provide patient and family education regarding therapeutic procedures, tailored to age, condition, culture, and learning readiness.
- Supervise and collaborate with other team members when applicable to deliver care aligned with patient goals.
- Apply infection control best practices and universal precautions in all patient care activities.
- Accept clinical assignments within education and competence, maintaining professional standards and safety.
- Maintain diligent documentation and comply with regulatory and facility policies.

Requirements
- Active Physical Therapist license in North Carolina
- Current CPR certification
- Current driver's license with reliable transportation
- 1–2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting; home health experience preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association-approved program
- Ability to work in an inpatient acute care/rehabilitation setting; flexible schedule and travel locally
- Physical ability to perform duties including heavy lifting, bending, pushing/pulling, standing for extended periods; good hand–eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
