Job Title: Manual Machinist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our dynamic Production team, contributing to the manufacturing of rods and struts. This role offers an opportunity to work either on our 1st or 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run various core machines, including Mill, Lathe, Hone, Swage, Centerless Grinding, Thread Roll, Hydraulic Press, and Carbon Fiber.

• Utilize drawings and written instructions to perform routine operations of basic machines with close tolerances.

• Install hardware manually using provided tools, sometimes utilizing adhesive or grease as specified by the BOM.

• Hand deburr parts to meet drawing specifications.

• Conduct self-inspection of completed work and record data as required.

• Examine parts for acceptability of finish and clean up parts, machines, and premises.

• Perform detailed periodic machine maintenance.

Essential Skills

• Blueprint reading

• Machine operation expertise

• Press operation

• Metal fabrication

• Manual machining

• Experience with cutting tools, deburring, measuring tools, and hand tools

• Proficient in production environments

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• At least one year of experience with one of the identified machines

• Experience in a machine shop environment preferred

Work Environment

This role is based in an aerospace manufacturing and production machine shop. The work environment includes exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. Noise levels can vary.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Everett, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
