Production Maintenance Supervisor

Position Summary The Production Maintenance Supervisor is directly responsible for the safety and performance of the maintenance mechanics on the shift. The supervisor will also oversee preventive, reactive, and deferred maintenance of production equipment lines throughout the plant, communicating with production supervision to set priorities and notifying production and maintenance management when escalation is required. Night Shift Wednesday – Saturday, 6 pm – 6 am Essential Duties & Responsibilities Conduct routine safety audits, identifying potential safety concerns across work practices, equipment, PPE compliance, etc. Adhere to Leader Standard Work requirements outlined by Maintenance Management. Hire, train, evaluate, coach, and develop maintenance personnel. Provide day‑to‑day direction to technical staff across all shifts regarding assignments and projects. Ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment. Control costs by enforcing maintenance procedures and eliminating unnecessary activities. Prepare reports on MTBF, RCA, FMEA and execute actions to reduce downtime or repetitive failures. Plan and follow up on preventive maintenance activities, including shutdowns. Identify opportunities for equipment performance improvement, develop alternative solutions to potential problems, and implement resolution plans. Coordinate programs and projects with Plant Engineering and other functional departments, and manage resources for key business unit projects. Ensure compliance with company guidelines, rules, and regulatory requirements. Work on special projects as they arise. Research and develop training, procedures, and implement change‑control documentation as required for safety or equipment reliability. Handle other tasks (e.g., dispatch) as required by Maintenance Management. Must be able to pass vision and hearing tests, including color and depth perception. Knowledge & Skills Computer skills in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience Must be at least 18 years of age. Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is required; Mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering or related degree preferred. Technical trade or licensed trade experience, preferably as a supervisor, is desired. Work Environment Work is performed in a clean‑room environment. May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time. Must occasionally move and lift objects up to 25 pounds. Typically requires less than 5% travel.
