Finish GrinderPrepares weldments for powder coat paint system by grinding, sanding or polishing imperfections from the welding or fabrication process.Job Responsibilities:Inspects weldments for obvious defects such as but not limited to: weld spatter, rough welds, missing welds and sharp corners/edgesGrinds, sands or polishes weldments in preparation for powder coat paintingMaintains a clean and orderly work environmentPerforms other duties as assignedJob Skills Requirements:Basic reading, writing and math skillsFluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or locationEducation Requirements:High School diplomaExperience Requirements:1 year of experience preferredPhysical & Environmental Requirements:Moderate physical demand; often lifting/moving average weight (25 to 50 lbs/11-27 kgs), and occasionally lifting heavy weight materials (up to 70 lbs)Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours)Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours)Briggs & Stratton, headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, provides innovative products and diverse power solutions to help people get work done.
