Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) - Anxiety, Insomnia & Trauma Specialty Practice

Tella Psychology is a boutique private practice serving adolescents and adults through in-person care in Dallas and telehealth services across PSYPACT states. We specialize in the treatment of insomnia, anxiety disorders, trauma, OCD-spectrum concerns, perfectionism, and stress-related conditions. Founded in 2020, Tella Psychology grew out of years of training and experience in academic medical settings, where collaborative, evidence-based, and whole-person care were central values. Those experiences shaped our belief that effective therapy is not only about using the right techniques, but also about having the time, flexibility, and creativity to tailor treatment to each person's unique needs and goals. When clients in the Dallas area struggled to find opportunities for in-person social anxiety treatment, we created a skills-based group program. Position Overview Approximately 18–20 client sessions per week Option for a 4- or 5-day workweek Flexible hybrid schedule (or full time in office if you prefer) Participation in regular consultation meetings Optional participation in specialty group programming No evenings or weekends required. Most client appointments occur during standard business hours (approximately 9 AM–4 PM) We intentionally maintain lower productivity expectations than many healthcare and group practice settings because we believe excellent clinical work requires time for documentation, consultation, professional development, and thoughtful treatment planning. Expected annual earnings: $100,000–$125,000+ for clinicians meeting expected productivity (approximately 18–20 client sessions per week). Most client appointments occur during standard business hours (approximately 9 AM–4 PM) Modern, fully furnished North Dallas office suite (off Preston, close to the Galleria) On-site fitness center and sauna access Free parking Opportunities to co-present at conferences Regular consultation and mentorship Qualifications Licensed psychologist or license‑eligible PhD/PsyD Strong background in CBT Experienced with measurement‑based and evidence‑based care Interested in developing specialty expertise in insomnia treatment (CBT‑I) Comfortable with anxiety‑related presentations Especially valued backgrounds Chronic illness or chronic pain treatment Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) PSYPACT‑eligible/graduated from an APA‑accredited graduate program Experience with evidence‑based trauma treatments — EMDR, CPT, or Prolonged Exposure Experience working with teens A significant portion of referrals involve insomnia and sleep‑related concerns. Prior CBT‑I experience is welcomed but not required; however, candidates should be excited to develop competency in CBT‑I through consultation, mentorship, and specialized training.
