Work Environment
This position is primarily onsite, working directly with patients in various home settings throughout Oceanside and the surrounding areas. In this role, you will engage with a diverse population of patients recovering from orthopedic, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions. The fast-paced environment ensures that no two days are the same, and continuous collaboration with colleagues and other healthcare professionals enhances the therapeutic experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients with varying conditions, utilizing standardized tests and observations to identify treatment needs and develop appropriate care strategies.
- Create and implement customized treatment plans that focus on rehabilitation and functional improvement, taking into account each patient’s unique circumstances and goals.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with both state and federal regulations, ensuring continuity of care and effective communication among the healthcare team.
- Work synergistically with physicians, physical therapist assistants (PTAs), and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes through collaborative treatment strategies.
- Provide education and guidance to patients and their families regarding home exercises, injury prevention techniques, and overall wellness strategies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development activities and training to remain up-to-date with advancements in physical therapy practices and methodologies.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on outpatient clients who require rehabilitation services post-surgery, for chronic pain management, or due to mobility limitations. These may include elderly individuals recovering from fractures, patients with neurological disorders, or those with chronic conditions affecting their daily activities. The role allows you to make significant impacts on your patients' recovery journeys, ultimately enhancing their independence and quality of life.
Qualifications
- A valid California State Physical Therapy License is required to practice.
- A Bachelor’s, Doctorate, or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is essential.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
