Number of Beds: 2 heart rooms with a 3rd possible

Number of Staff: 4 RN, 3 CST

Type of staff: Day Shift 1 CVOR RN and 1 CVOR CST

Night shift: No night shift, on call only

Patient Ratios: 1:1

Type of equipment: EMR Meditech / CPN

Typical hiring profile:

Skill Set: Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)

Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

Minimum 1-year current acute care CVOR RN hospital experience

BLS, ACLS

Active KS RN licensure

Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.

PALS

Open Heart and Cardiovascular experience

Prior Meditech experience

List typical procedures performed on unit(s): CABG and AVR MVR and TAVR

Best personality Fit: Confident, team player and positive attitude

Patient experience is a priority

Communication with staff and providers

Unit Guidelines/Policies:

On-call consists of 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month are required

Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: ECMO program restarting
