Job Description Job Description St. Joseph Hospice is seeking an experienced PRN Nurse Practitioner to join our hospice healthcare team in the New Orleans, LA area. Essential daily duties include: Provide primary medical care and palliative care for chronic and acute illnesses to patients who are home-bound or have difficulty traveling to a physician’s office Provide physical exams, diagnose and treat acute and chronic diseases Interpret laboratory and test results Prescribe and manage medications and other therapies all with an emphasis on health maintenance and disease prevention Qualifications: Current Louisiana license required Two or more years as a Nurse Practitioner Excellent communication skills Problem-solving skills and ability to deal with a variety of situations Hospice or Palliative care experience preferred Experience EMR preferred Join our patient care team today!
