- # Maintenance MechanicApply: On Site: Newsoms, VA: Full time: Posted Yesterday: REQ03168**Job Responsibilities*** Performs minor and major electrical/mechanical repair of processing and support equipment and facility grounds.* Performs other duties as assigned.**Candidate Qualifications/ Requirements*** 3+ year experience as a maintenance mechanic* Experience with air compressors, gear boxes, pumps, valves, hydraulics.* Use of hand tools, power tools* Highly organized and detail oriented.* Experience with CMMS work order system, MS Excel* Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.* Willingness to work varied hours whenever necessary to achieve the desired results, including call-ins and overtime.* Strengths in the following character qualities: dependability, resourcefulness, patience and flexibility.**Candidate Preferred Qualifications*** 1+ year experience welding metal* Technical School degree, High School Diploma or equivalent.* experience working on tractor trailers*Koppers Inc. and its subsidiaries are equal opportunity employers.
