Job Summary Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant position in Phoenix, Arizona. Play a crucial role in providing comprehensive and high‑quality care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders. Responsibilities See patients in the outpatient clinic full time Monday‑Friday Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to Gastroenterology patients under physician supervision Participate in education development and growth of the GI division Collaborate with administrative and clinical directors to ensure quality and regulatory compliance Qualifications PA Requirements Degree as a Physician Assistant (PA‑C) Graduation from an accredited PA program Demonstrated experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in Gastroenterology (managing common GI conditions, performing focused exams, ordering/interpreting diagnostics) Hold and maintain AZ Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants license and NCCPA certification Valid DEA registration Meet credentialing criteria for medical staff NP Requirements Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) Graduate of an accredited NP program Demonstrated experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in Gastroenterology (managing common GI conditions, performing focused exams, ordering/interpreting diagnostics) Holding Compact state or Arizona RN license and Arizona Advanced Practice Nurse license National Certificate as an NP in specialty under AZ regulations (NP‑AACN, NP‑AANP, NP‑ANCC) Valid DEA registration Meet credentialing criteria for medical staff Benefits CommonSpirit Health offers a generous benefit package, including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision plans, life insurance, paid time off (minimum 14 days including holidays), tuition reimbursement, and retirement plan options such as 401(k) and 403(b).
