As a Mortgage Loan Underwriter, you will: Review mortgage loan applications and supporting documents in accordance with secondary market mortgage guidelines and render a credit decision with or without conditions Work collaboratively with Mortgage Loan Originators to structure loan requests based on loan policy and secondary market guidelines Recognize viable loan alternatives when initial requests are not feasible to give members a choice, rather than just a denial Advise the mortgage team of required and closing conditions; reviews conditions and ensure they have been met Our ideal candidate will have a combination of: Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum of three years of FNMA mortgage underwriting experience Knowledge of Secondary Market/FNMA guidelines Experience on conventional, portfolio, and non-QM underwriting Detail-oriented with strong data analysis skills Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Excellent organization and time management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
