Shift: M-F 7a-4p or 8a-5p, No weekends & No call, Float between IP/OP

Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Description:

The physical therapist (PT) delivers quality therapy services to patients by performing evaluations and developing individual treatment plans and goals to maximize functional outcomes. The PT is responsible for maintaining standards of professional and ethical practice following the guidelines of the State of Texas Board of Examiners for Physical Therapy. The PT actively participates in discharge planning, implements the treatment program, and reassesses treatment results. Services are delivered within the framework of an interdisciplinary team approach, including significant others, and the patient. These services are delivered in compliance with ethical standards and policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Maximize patient functional outcomes through tailored physical therapy interventions.
• Participate in discharge planning and reassessment of patient treatment results.
• Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team approach.
• Maintain professional and ethical standards of practice.

Requirements:

• BLS Certification
• Texas and national license
• At least six months of experience, although new graduates will be accepted
• Preferred wound care experience
• IP/OP experience
