Certified School Nurse Opportunity

In this school-based position, you’ll play an integral role in supporting health and educational outcomes across the academic year, working full-time hours between 8/10/26 and 5/21/27. Expect a dynamic work environment close to Plainfield, IL, with a focus on in-person engagement, including interviews.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Active and unrestricted RN license in Illinois
• Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric healthcare settings
• Skilled in medical assessments, emergency care, and medication administration
• Familiarity with IEP and 504 Plan processes
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a busy health office
• Excellent communication with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding school health policies

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the school health office, providing care for illness and injury
• Conduct thorough medical reviews and documentation for student records
• Collaborate in meetings relating to IEPs and 504 plans, contributing essential health insights
• Coordinate with staff and families to ensure students health needs are addressed
• Lead health initiatives and promote wellness within the school community
• Maintain and update health records in compliance with regulations
