Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms before surgical procedures.
• Set up and maintain sterile fields and surgical instruments.
• Scrub and assist surgeons during operative procedures.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments efficiently.
• Assist with orthopedic trauma, total joints, neuro-trauma, urology, ENT, and general surgical cases.
• Independently scrub cranial/neurosurgical procedures.
• Operate and assist with specialized surgical equipment including Da Vinci Robotics, Mako, Stealth, and Scopis systems.
• Perform surgical counts and ensure patient safety standards are maintained.
• Assist with specimen handling and operating room turnover.
• Participate in call coverage and emergency surgical procedures.
• Float to Sterile Processing (SP) when required.

Required Experience Recent Surgical Technologist experience in an acute care OR. Strong orthopedic experience required. Orthopedic trauma experience required. Total joint experience required. Neuro-trauma experience required. General OR experience required. Experience scrubbing surgical cases required. Experience in a fast-paced trauma environment preferred. Required Certifications BLS Certification Surgical Technologist Certification (CST preferred but not required)
