Environmental Health And Safety Specialist

The successful candidate will demonstrate environmental, health & safety knowledge in one or more of the following areas: environmental sustainability and compliance, occupational safety and will be responsible for developing, managing and implementing EH&S programs and initiatives in a fast-paced engineering and R&D environment. Required skill sets include the ability to maintain site compliance with local, state and federal regulations, motivated self-starter capabilities, in-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, monitoring and analyzing environmental performance metrics, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability initiatives into business operations. Desired skill sets include experience with interfacing with regulatory agencies, knowledge of Cal OSHA VPP program elements, developing and presenting EH&S training and presentations, and managing and performing contractor safety and oversight activities. Years of experience required: 1-2 years in the field of environmental, health, and safety. Education level required: bachelor's degree in safety engineering, occupational health, environmental science, or related field and a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
