Coffing Electric is hiring Journeyman Electricians in Mt. Vernon.

If you are a licensed Journeyman tired of bouncing between contractors, chasing checks, and working for shops that do not invest in you, read this one carefully.

We are a residential electrical contractor in Knox County. We are booked four weeks out and hiring to get that down to two. This is not a temporary push. We are building a crew we intend to keep.

What Your Day Looks Like

• Electrical installs, service upgrades, panel and service changes, and troubleshooting
• New construction rough-in through finish, remodels, and service calls
• Read prints, pull permits, and run clean code-compliant work independently
• You manage your own jobs, mentor apprentices when it makes sense, and keep the site professional
• Year-round work across Knox County and Central Ohio. The pipeline stays full.

About That Pay Range, Because It Matters

The bottom of that range is where a newly licensed Journeyman starts. The top is what a seasoned electrician who runs his own jobs and solves his own problems earns here.

What We Need From You

• Active Ohio Journeyman Electrician license, or close enough that we can finish the path with you
• Construction experience. We look for this first, every time.
• Proven residential background, or commercial experience and a real willingness to learn residential
• Strong NEC knowledge and the ability to work without hand-holding
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
• Willing to complete a standard background check and drug screen
• Someone who takes pride in doing it right, not just getting it done
