MES Functional Subject Matter Expert

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes (batch, discrete, or hybrid, make and pack) for CPG manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of MES concepts:
• ISA 95, production tracking, genealogy, quality, and compliance
• Proven experience in MES requirement definition, functional design, testing and UAT
• Good understanding of Proficy MES Plant Applications, Historian, OPC servers, Operations Hub etc.
• Familiarity with regulated manufacturing environments is a plus (e.g., food, beverage, pharma)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Serve as the functional expert for MES solutions,
• Lead MES requirement gathering workshops with manufacturing, quality, and operations stakeholders
• Translate business and manufacturing requirements into clear MES functional specifications
• Validate MES design to ensure alignment with standard manufacturing processes and best practices
• Understand existing MES solution built for other business and demo solutions to new plants, sectors, businesses etc. Understand gaps, document gaps, provide solution to close the gaps.
• Provide functional expertise in Proficy MES, including configuration and deployment
• Support key Proficy MES functions such as:
• Production execution and work order management
• Material consumption and genealogy
• Performance analysis
• Guide configuration of unit procedures, operations, data collection, and workflows in Proficy MES
• Testing, UAT & Support
• Define test strategies, write user acceptance test cases, lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for MES deployments.
• Review defects, prioritize issues by severity, and ensure timely resolution
• Support production issues, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives

Salary Range-$100,000-$150,000 a year
