Job Summary

Join our dedicated Endoscopy team as a Registered Nurse in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. This role is based in a hospital setting, focusing on providing comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing various endoscopic procedures.

The Endoscopy RN is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering safe, high-quality nursing care throughout the patient's journey, including pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure support (including scrub/tech functions), and post-procedure recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver safe and effective nursing care for patients in the Endoscopy unit.
• Provide pre-procedure patient assessment, education, and preparation.
• Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures, potentially performing scrub or tech duties.
• Monitor patients during and after procedures, managing recovery and post-procedure care.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the endoscopy experience.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience in an Endoscopy setting.
• Demonstrated experience with both pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care in Endoscopy.
• Proficiency in scrub/tech functions during Endoscopy procedures.
• Current Flu Vaccine required; no exemptions accepted.

Licensing Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado or ability to obtain prior to start.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
