Location: Los Angeles, CA 90058 Duration: 3 Months Contract Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Job Overview: We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cylinder Handler to support warehouse and production operations. This role involves handling gas cylinders, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment. The work is routine and requires attention to safety and detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle high and low-pressure gas cylinders within the facility
- Load and unload cylinders from trucks and trailers
- Sort empty cylinders and prepare them for refilling
- Assist production team in moving filled cylinders
- Perform cylinder maintenance such as painting, labeling, and cleaning
- Inspect cylinders for damage or issues and report to management
- Track inventory including cylinder quantities, types, and products
- Pick and prepare items based on customer orders
- Assist with shipping paperwork when needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse or factory experience
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Ability to read and understand safety documents such as MSDS, OSHA, DOT, and FDA
- Basic computer knowledge
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Self-motivated and team-oriented
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 25 to 75 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Must not lift more than 45 lbs without assistance
- Ability to stand for long hours up to 8 hours
- Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, and repetitive work
- Comfortable working in a non-air-conditioned and non-heated environment
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced warehouse environment
- Work area is not temperature controlled
- Requires working with different teams and maintaining safety standards
