Job Description

Position Title: CDL Driver

Salary: $58,000-$62,000/year

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 4:30PM-12:30AM (overtime possible)


QPS Employment Group has a 2nd shift direct hire opening in North Kansas City. We are in need of a local CDL Driver for a metal and steel manufacturing company. Great pay, benefits, and shift. Must be open to working overtime when needed.

CDL Driver Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and complete documentation checks utilizing the standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report)
- Operate vehicle in accordance with company policies and procedures, OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements, as well as all local, state, and federal laws
- Ensure proper product securement while adhering to load securement requirements outlined in the DOT guidelines
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times while representing the company
- Other duties as assigned

CDL Driver Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Experience with load securement and tractor-trailer driving desired
- Ability to receive and maintain DOT physical card
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and basic knowledge of arithmetic
- Alert, focused, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time, and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions
- Flexible with working overtime as needed
- Must follow all company policies, including attendance
