Senior Rust Developer

Job TitlePay Range $47hr - $52hrRequirement/Must Have:7+ years of experience in Software Engineering.3+ years of experience in Rust Development.5+ years of experience in Java.5+ years of experience in C++.Responsibilities:Lead the design and execution of Java-to-Rust conversion for Edge applications.Lead the design and execution of C/C++-to-Rust conversion for Edge applications.Train and mentor senior SMEs on advanced Rust concepts and best practices.Enable internal SMEs to assume the Rust Technical Lead role by the end of the engagement.Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Rust.Build highly scalable, low-latency, and resilient services for cloud and distributed environments.Develop microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven applications.Implement concurrent and asynchronous solutions using Rust best practices.Optimize application performance, memory efficiency, and system reliability.Collaborate with architects and product teams to define technical solutions and system designs.Integrate applications with cloud platforms, databases, messaging systems, and enterprise platforms.Participate in code reviews, architecture reviews, and sprint planning activities.Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.Ensure security, observability, scalability, and compliance requirements are met.Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices.Nice to Have:Experience working in one or more of the following areas: Cloud Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Automation, Kubernetes Ecosystem, Edge Computing, AI Infrastructure, Cybersecurity Solutions, Storage Systems, Networking Solutions.WebAssembly (WASM).Blockchain Technologies.RISC-V Architecture Exposure.Embedded Systems Development.Open Source Contributions.Observability Tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).Skills:Strong expertise in Rust Programming.Solid experience with C/C++ and Python.Ownership and Borrowing, Lifetimes, Traits and Generics, Memory Management, Error Handling.Async Programming, Tokio Framework, Concurrency and Multithreading.Cargo Package Management, Rust Testing Frameworks.Backend Development, REST APIs, gRPC Services, Microservices Architecture, Distributed Systems, Event-Driven Architectures.Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB.Messaging Platforms: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus.Cloud & Platform Engineering: AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, GitHub Actions, Jenkins CI/CD Automation.Operating Systems: Linux Administration, Linux Kernel Concepts, Shell Scripting.Education and Experience:5-7 years of Software Development Experience with 2+ years of hands-on Rust Development.
