Lead Data Analyst

As the Lead Data Analyst, you will be within the broader Data and Analytics organization, the Data and BI teams are undergoing a data modernization effort to create a modern enterprise data platform. The Lead Data Analyst will be a key member of this transformation by leading a small team of business analysts to review and analyze the current legacy data platform and assist with the requirements the new data platform from a BI, reporting and analytic perspective.

Responsibilities include:

Identify and communicate with key stakeholders, BI developers, data engineers, and data product owners
Analyze current legacy data and reporting, including KPIs and other metrics, to understand the new data platform requirements
Assess options for process improvement, including business process modeling
Create and maintain documentation around existing metrics, reports, and data mappings.
Validate and QA the new data warehouse data to ensure it is able to be used effectively in the new semantic layer

Knowledge & Experience:

7+ years' experience as a Business Analyst
5+ years' experience using SQL to query and analyze data
Ability to effectively collaborate, communicate and influence key stakeholders to support the creation of the semantic layer
Experience testing and mapping various business processes, reporting, analytic use cases and databases
Working knowledge of Power BI
Ability to operate independently and successfully in a fast-paced environment
Superior communication skills both oral and written
Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, or related discipline.

Preferred Experience:

10+ years' experience as a business analyst
7+ years' experience using SQL to query and analyze data
Proficiency in Power BI
Comfortable making decisions and leading
Proficient in version control and relational databases
Master's degree in computer science, statistics, or related discipline
