VP Senior Product Manager, Payments
The Product Manager will drive the company's strategic initiatives, aligning product offerings with measurable client and business outcomes. By defining an actionable product strategy and building relationships with business leaders, the Product Manager will integrate product and business strategies to deliver value. To deliver value, the Product Manager will craft and present business cases for product development, document requirements for product features, and communicate ideas through presentations and appropriate artifacts. Collaborating with functional leaders and subject matter experts, they will ensure timely, business-ready product releases. Utilizing customer understanding and proven technologies, the Product Manager will identify and implement innovative solutions that meet client needs. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
Define an actionable product strategy and roadmap prioritized by measurable client and business outcomes.
- Build and maintain relationships with business leaders to align product strategy with business strategy.
- Collaborate with CX and Treasury Management Sales teams to conduct qualitative and quantitative customer research to gather insight and understand personas and needs.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and relevant innovative propositions to identify new opportunities.
Write and present the business case for products and related opportunities.
- Document product feature requirements and artifacts to support the product development process.
- Clearly communicate compelling ideas (using presentations, wireframes, prototypes, etc.) to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Susser Bank functional leaders (e.g. Bankers, Treasury Management Sales, Technology, Marketing, etc.) and subject matter experts to ensure features are released in a business-ready and timely manner.
- Collaborate with Technology and third parties (as applicable) to build the required features.
Utilize an evidence-based method for Product decision-making including but not limited to opportunity prioritization and client understanding.
- Be accountable for capturing identified value propositions in the business case and product roadmap.
- Be accountable and responsible for product metrics, including commercial and noncommercial goals through continuous monitoring and measurement.
- Be accountable for client experience and satisfaction metrics through continuous monitoring and measurement.
- Provide support to sales and marketing to agree on business-building tactics, activities, and targets and to ensure that value proposition and messaging are clear.
Bachelor's degree required (may consider experience in lieu of degree). Master's degree preferred. Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) preferred Payments Product Management or Delivery Experience preferred 5+ years of related experience.
- Commercial Banking experience, including an understanding of industry digital trends and technology stacks, payments.
- Experience with but not limited to Q2 online banking, Jach Henry core, ACH, Wires, RTP, Positive Pay products.
- Product management experience, including going through a full product lifecycle (from launch to maturity)
- Previous experience in technical product development is desirable.
- Related technology background is desirable, particularly in the area of digital experience platforms and web and mobile technologies.
Relevant market and industry trends, including commercial, regulatory, legal, and technology. Familiarity with digital technologies, payments and industry tech stacks. Company strategy, brand and value proposition. Best practices and emerging trends related to innovation and go-to-market. Ideation and opportunity identification methods.
- Ability to conduct market, competitor, and customer research to gather insight, assess market opportunities, and make the case for investment.
- Digital product strategy definition.

- Ability to coordinate with digital product engineering and other functions for product development and delivery.
