Registered Nurse (RN) - OR Scrub/Circulate

Job Description

A Clinical Nurse is a vital member of the surgical team, functioning in both circulating and scrubbing capacities. The services provided encompass a variety of surgical specialties, including general surgery, urology, ophthalmology, podiatry, pain management, and endoscopy procedures. Our nurses deliver specialized care to patients aged 16 and older, primarily focusing on outpatient procedures with limited inpatient care. The surgical services department consists of two operating rooms and a procedure room.

Shift Information

• Schedule: 4 days per week, 8-hour shifts.
• 32-hour guarantee.
• Weekend Call: 1 weekend per month with a callback time of one hour.
• Weekday Call: 2-3 days per week with a callback time of one hour.

Requirements

• Cataract experience is required and non-negotiable.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the OR setting.
• Experience in both scrubbing and circulating roles is essential.
• Experience in a smaller OR facility is required.
• Phase I/PACU experience is a must.
• Experience with multiple surgical specialties is necessary.
• Cerner EMR experience is required.
• Travel experience is highly preferred.
• BSN is preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation, as the community does not have public transport.

Additional Information

All requested time off (RTO) during the assignment must be noted and verified at the time of application. RTO requests after submission will not be approved, and a maximum of 5 days of RTO is permitted. Candidates must be willing to work during major holidays when scheduled.

Certifications Required

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)

State License Requirements

Candidates must be willing to obtain a Vermont nursing license prior to starting the position.
