Medical Laboratory Scientist

Medical Laboratory Scientist position performing high-complexity clinical laboratory testing in hematology, chemistry, immunology, and specialized areas. Role supports patient care and clinical research while maintaining compliance with CLIA, CAP, and GCLP standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform and report high-complexity automated and manual laboratory tests with minimal supervision
- Maintain reagent inventory, prepare reagents, and identify instrument issues affecting accuracy
- Participate in assay validation, method improvements, and new technology implementation
- Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, GCLP, and internal quality management systems
- Support training of laboratory personnel and participate in audits and quality initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field
- 0–5 years of clinical laboratory experience
- National certification as MLS/MT (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent)
- CLIA requirements for high-complexity testing personnel
- Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation, safety protocols, and hazardous chemical handling
- Skilled troubleshooting of laboratory instruments and testing issues
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Compensation: $46,200.00 - $96,200.00 base
