NSTS has an immediate opening for a Safety Specialist. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Safety Specialist located in the Abilene, Texas. The Safety Specialist will be responsible for conducting regular safety assessments, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and providing safety training to employees. The role involves identifying potential hazards, performing accident investigations, and implementing measures to prevent workplace injuries. Additionally, the Safety Specialist will work closely with teams to promote a safe and healthy work environment. Qualifications Proficiency in Health & Safety and Occupational Health procedures Knowledge and experience with Environment Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and compliance standards Expertise in Safety Training and the ability to educate individuals and teams on best practices Strong skills in Accident Investigation and hazard analysis Effective communication and organizational abilities Understanding of industry-specific safety requirements is a plus Bachelor’s degree or certifications in Occupational Health, Safety, or related fields preferred Relevant professional certifications such as OSHA 500, CSHO, SHEP or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) are advantageous #J-18808-Ljbffr National Safety Training Solutions, LLC.
