Highlights Pay : $64.85/hour Location : New York, NY Facility : Mount Sinai Hospital Department/Unit : SICU Gi-CC - MSH Schedule : Full-Time, Day shift What You'll Do Deliver patient care by applying the nursing process based on theory, research, and evidence-based practice. Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and evaluate the plan of care. Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care and health promotion. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing. Role model the tenets of Mount Sinai Relationship Centered Care. Initiate service recovery for patients and family members with concerns. Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying barriers for improvement. Document nursing practice to support quality and performance improvement initiatives. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable if matriculated in a BSN program. Experience: Relevant clinical competence in assigned nursing practice area; new graduates must possess current knowledge of the nursing process.
