Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specialized in Psychiatry/Behavioral and Mental Health to join our team. This position involves working with adult patients dealing with a variety of mental health issues, including addiction, depression, anxiety, and psychosis.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions through shift assessments.
• Administer emergency and regular medications as required.
• Conduct admissions and discharges in accordance with protocols.
• Respond to CODE Blues and instances of violent behavior with appropriate de-escalation techniques.
• Utilize COWS and CIWAs assessments effectively.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EHR systems including HCS and Pyxis.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a psychiatric nursing role.
• Required certifications: BLS, Handle With Care (HWC).
• Experience with psychiatric patient care and medication administration.
• Ability to float as needed.
